Natural face masks for clean and rejuvenated skin

Skin care is a billion dollar industry. There are face masks, creams, face wash and moisturizers to help you facemaskdeal with skin issues you probably aren’t even aware of. While it’s convenient to buy skin care products, it may not necessarily be in the best interest of your skin. There is some truth to old wives tales after all. The best skin care you can get is from every day ingredients in your very own kitchen. So go rummage around your kitchen and gather the stuff mentioned below to give your skin a much needed rejuvenation.
Here are a few easy DIY face masks that will help cleanse your skin and rejuvenate it in few simple steps:

  1. Banana and yogurt mask

Mash a banana, mix yogurt and a spoon of honey. Apply this to you face and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Then gently wash it off with warm water, followed by a cold water splash.

The banana will moisturise the skin, while the yogurt and honey’s anti-inflammatory properties will soothe and tighten skin making it feel fresh and rejuvenated. This is also an effective home-made mask for skin tightening.

Use this regularly for clean and fresh skin free of wrinkles.

  1. Tomato yogurt almond oil mask

Mash half an unpeeled tomato with a tablespoon of yogurt and a teaspoon of almond oil. Make sure it’s mixed well. Apply it on your face and leave it for 20 minutes.

The tomato helps lighten the skin; yogurt soothes the skin, while the almond oil is a natural moisturiser. Once you wash this mask off, your skin will feel soft, light and fresh. egg

  1. Egg yolk mask

For this mask you will need a few ingredients, but all easily available in the kitchen – 1 egg yolk, a teaspoon of honey (organic is better), 1 tablespoon olive oil and squirt of half a lemon

Mix everything together till it’s a smooth paste and apply evenly across the face and neck.

Leave this mask for 10-15 minutes, and then wash it off with warm water. Always use lukewarm water and not hot water.

This mask is useful if you have normal to dry skin, as it moisturises and hydratesthe skin leaving it nourished and rejuvenated.

  1. Avocado olive oil mask

Mash half an avocado add a tablespoon of olive oil and apply it evenly on your face. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off. Both avocado and olive oil are fabulous moisturisers and this mask is a quick fix to nourished and refreshed skin.
